So, Georgia is quite the place for budget travel. Overall, we did pretty well, except (*sigh*) the fact that we rented a car for the entire 23 days we were there. As we all know by now, a rental car will hike up your spending.
Some notes:
– Lodging was our most expensive category at $944. This is pretty good though if you look at how many nights we spent in Georgia. Our nightly rate ranged from $18/night to $63/night.
– I’d like to note that our rental car was only $25/day. It was an old Ford with Florida bumper stickers. It’s not every day a Florida car makes it to the country of Georgia! All 23 days of the rental car came out to $825, and gas $241.
– Food came out to $543, which is $3.90/meal! Not bad!
